In the heart of Tuscany, surrounded by a lush forest and surrounded ancient olive groves, lies the village of Mommialla, already known when the '400 is quoted by Leonardo da Vinci as "Mumilla" inside of your cards. It is an ancient village consists of several Romanesque buildings in stone masonry and brick, as well as the Chapel of S. Frediano of one thousand years. Today, finally many buildings have been faithfully rebuilt, a few others are still in ruins and awaiting reconstruction.

The village, completely exposed to the south, extends along the ridge of a typical hill and offers spectacular views over the valley, the natural park and the ancient Etruscan city of Volterra. The entire property is spread over an area of 60 hectares where you can go for walks, horse trails along old cobbled streets in complete relaxation in touch with a rich extreme nature, to reach at the thermal spring of Mommialla.

Near the village, is located the building which was the oldest spa in Gambassi Terme, according to the early postwar years (1945) then left in a state of neglect until now. The building was recently completely rebuilt, and was also forwarded the project to reactivate the spa. The spring water has curative properties hypothermal recognized by the Ministry of Health.

Here we are at a height of 300 meters above sea level, in a small paradise, protected and reserved but at the same time not far from the center of Gambassi Terme and then by the City, and all other essential services such as pharmacy, shops etc. ... The road is completely paved except the last 2 km which are used to arrive at the Village that are a dirt road. This stretch of valley that runs from the beginning until you get to Volterra was the old road to Volterra branch of the famous Via Francigena.
